Both Shellac's and Sonic Youth's sets from the first annual ATP New Years event Strange Days are subject of this entry. Shellac is a 3 piece noise rock outfit based in Chicago, Illinois, comprised of Steve Albini (vox/guitar), Todd Treynor (drums), and Bob Weston (bass). They have released four albums and been together for almost 20 years and have affiliated with influential underground rock bands ranging from Big Black, to Mission Of Burma, to other, more successful bands such as Nirvana. This recording captures Shellac's energetic and intelligent approach to music.
