Blood Orange, one of the many projects of Devonté Hynes, sounds a lot like Prince... not that that's a bad thing! The one man show boasts Dev in control of beats, guitar, and vox whilst casually grooovin' out his soulfully nostalgic tracks. Dev came out a little later to provide some vocals on a Rewards cut. Unfortunately the footage I took of the Rewards didn't some out as good as I hoped. Anyway, get on Blood Orange at Pianos:

Friday night Ghost Pal played a free show at Billyburg's Bruar Falls. The Brooklyn 5-piece bump  sixties'd-out-fun based around the exciting, unconventional songwriting of frontman Oliver Ignatius (formerly of The Hysterics). Backed by Justin Coles (guitar), Josh Barocas (bass), Henry Kandel (sax), and Ezra 'Baby Killer' Miller (drums): Ghost Pal mutate from the refined pop heard in their demos to an amped out rock n' roll troupe bent on fun.
